Ruki and Saria were in a zombie apocalypse. Ruki had a notable pink+black varsity jacket with yellow big words on the back that said something like, "Let's Meet the Rocker," and there was something else beneath that I unfortunately can't remember anymore.
Saria's characterization was different, she had short dark brown/reddish hair, and her personality came out softer--or maybe we didn't see enough, because Ruki's and Saria's context of relationship had been altered.

From what I remember, they were in something like a mixture of a school and hospital. The structure was odd, but it was like a spiral-y tower, allowing room for motorcycling riding. At some point, Ruki and Saria became acquainted (can't remember who's POV I was in..). But I remember clearly that all the people were infected and to prevent it we were trying to evacuate the people out of the infected area. I particularly remembered this one woman who was trying to drink water and when she finally left to evacuate she couldn't stop drooling... Many times I tried to clean her up, and the woman seemed to be concerned for herself, but came out lifeless due to her state. Saria informed me that she and some boy and prolly Ruki (or maybe I was Ruki at this point?) were going to try and stop people from drooling; now that I think about it, they could've been literally pouring out their souls. I remember that Saria told me that she and friend had 60 each to look over and to make sure no one was spilling any more drool. She said it was going to be tough. Ruki, who was definitely at the scene at this point, told Saria to request help from two others, one being a woman named Koda. She said it quite sternly, too (already can't remember how she said it :'( )

On the way out, people were starting to get hungry, which for some reason, apparently made things worse. So, at a point, Ruki decided to bail it out and took Saria with her to where their motorcycles were. Saria wasn't as confident in motorcycling skills, as Ruki was in the middle of teaching her, but she had confidence in Saria.

They rode all the way down, and it was like Mario Kart--it wasn't easy, it was a challenge, there were so many close calls, and it was intense bc of the way they narrowly made it the way down the ruined, spiral architecture. At a point, it seemed Saria stopped, as I recall watching from a POV Ruki hop on (her real?) motorcycle in the night and leave with a large group of people, who must've also been evacuating.

Saria had stayed behind.

If I recall correctly, Ruki had gotten home and rested, taking a nap. I remember when she was driving back, she seemed a little sluggish and her hair was a bit of a mess. She had driven all the way to the top of the architecture, where she found Saria. I'm not sure if it was said, but as Ruki, I understood that Saria stayed behind to make sure people were going to be ok.
"I wanted to make sure everyone was okay," Ruki had told her. (or unsure if she said, "you're," instead)

They got on their motorcycles again and started driving down, Ruki just as reckless as before. They both rode off at an edge and Ruki actually fucked up and didn't make it. She had a harsh fall and sprained (or fractured) left wrist. Ruki tried riding on her motorcycle again, but Saria commented it'll crack more if she did that. Saria got behind Ruki on the seat and suggested they both take one handle, Ruki right handle, Saria left handle. There was then a meter of balance at the bottom as they rode. They both commented that it was easy to control driving like this.

Ruki took a lot of control once she got the handle of it, and was still driving reckless for some dumb reason. I remember seeing on the balance meter she was purposely delaying control to Saria, and then gave her control at the last minute, resulting in an extremely sharp turn to the left, and Ruki just seemed to hit the pedal harder and we were fucking flying in the air, but we landed smoothly. There were teenagers (who had seen us depart frm the top) arrive at the bottom, and were (from what I remember) seemingly impressed with our transition down the building.
That's what I remember of the narrative.

Now I want to talk about characterizations.

For years I've been having a hard time checking in with Ruki's current characterization, as she has changed so much over the years, and I think the dream has helped me shown where she's at. Ruki is a lot bolder, daring, and optimistic. I always knew she was optimistic and assertive, but she came out more than I had thought. Also, her driving was so reckless but so cool and intense that I couldn't tell if she knew what she was doing and was smooth or if she was just fearlessly stupid.

So Saria came out different than what I had set up, both hair and personality. I can see her with the physical aspect as she is artistically experimental and is definitely conscious of the way she physically looks; she dresses herself as a way of creative expression (fashion, in other words, although she does not follow trends; she is her own). She came a little inconfident due to her skills at motorcycling, so maybe it wasn't all that different and she just acted that way for that specific situation. I always thought Saria to be the energetic friend in contrast to calm Ruki, but it seems I'd discovered a contrast--whereas Ruki is now fearlessly stupid, Saria knows when to hang back. The two friends are also very caring, but it seems Saria is caring enough to sacrifice her life for hundreds of strangers who were most likely to turn. This is interesting to me because Ruki has always come off as helpful to others and Saria more expressive of displeasures, such as flipping off and cursing people more openly (even if Ruki's behavior is grumpier). This isn't to say Ruki isn't careless tho, as she comes back for Saria, and had tried to help the same people. It's just Saria isn't decisive and had turned back last minute, where, as far as I'm concerned, Ruki's always been decisive.
